Published

on

Using the Philips CL034 Universal Remote, you can avoid the hassle of juggling a bunch of remotes for each part of a home entertainment system. This remote can also be used to replace a remote that has been lost or broken.

Once you know what you need to know, it’s easy to program it to work with the different video components. This makes it much easier to put your feet up, relax, and watch some of your favorite TV shows. Programming a Philips CL034 universal remote control is easy and can be done in just a few steps. This is the right way to do it:

  • If the thing you want to use isn’t running, you can start with the remote.
  • Check if the red indicator light stays on while you hold down the “Code Search” button on the remote.
  • Don’t press the “Code Search” button any longer.
  • Press and then let go of the button on the device you want to use to control it (e.g., TV, DVD, CBL). After flashing for a short time, the red light will always stay on.
  • You can enter the code for your device by pressing the number buttons on the remote. The remote’s user manual has a list of principles that can be used for several different devices. If you don’t have the manual, you can find the codes online or call Philips customer service for help.
  • When you enter the code correctly, the red blinking light on the indicator should stop.
  • Point the remote at the device and press the “Power” button to see if the code is right. If the device turns off after the code is entered, it means it was entered correctly. If the device doesn’t turn off, try the next code for your device, and keep trying codes until you find one that works.
  • If you can’t find a code that works, you can try programming the remote using the “Auto Search” method. Repeat steps one through three from above to do this. Then, turn off the device by pressing and holding the “Power” button on the remote until it turns off. After setting up the remote, you can let go of the “Power” button.
  • Once you’ve programmed the remote correctly, you’ll be able to change the volume, power, and other settings on your device. If you want to use the remote control to control something else, you will have to go through the process of setting it up again for the new device.

How to reset Philips universal remote control

Philips makes universal remote controls that work with various electronic devices, such as TVs, Blu-ray and DVD players, home theater systems, and cable and satellite boxes. These remotes are set up to work with a specific set of codes unique to the make and model of the device they are meant to control. If you want to use a Philips universal remote control, you will need to follow the instructions in the user manual to set up the remote to work with the devices you use.

To reset a Philips universal remote control, you need to do the following:

  • Find the button on the remote that says “Code Search.” This button is usually near the top of the remote and says “Code” or has a symbol that looks like a magnifying glass.
  • Hold down the “Code Search” button the whole time until the indicator light turns on. There’s a chance this will take a few seconds.
  • You can set up the device you want to use by pressing and releasing the button that says “TV,” “DVD,” or “AUX” for the device. When the remote is put into programming mode, the light will blink once to show it is doing so.
  • You can enter the code for your device by pressing the number buttons on the remote. You can find the code, a string of numbers, in the user manual that came with your remote control, or you can look it up online by searching for the make and model of your device along with the phrase “remote code.”
  • To ensure the code is correct, press the “Power” button on the remote. If the thing goes off, it means that the code was entered correctly, and you can’t go any further. If the device doesn’t turn off, try the following code on the list. Keep trying different codes until you find one that works.
  • If you can’t find a code that works, you’ll have to try programming the remote differently. The “Auto Search” method is one way to go about things. This method will look through all the codes stored in the remote’s database until it finds a working one. To do this, repeat the steps from above, but after pressing the “Code Search” button, let go of it before pressing the “Power” button on the remote, and then press and let go of that button. After that, the remote will go through each code automatically until it finds one that works.
  • If you still have problems, you may need to use the “Manual Setup” method, which requires you to type the code in by hand. You only need to use this method if you are still needing help. This method is usually only required if neither the “Code Search” method nor the “Auto Search” method works.

To do this, follow the steps above again, but this time enter the code by pressing the number buttons on the remote. You can look for the code for your device online or in the user guide that came with your remote control.
